Strategy bought $100M in bitcoin last week. Saylor previewed it Sunday night.
The market has learned to read Saylor's Sunday chart posts. Monday's 6% pre-market move in MSTR proved it.

- →Strategy bought 1,587 BTC for ~$100M at an average of $63,024 per coin between June 8-14, filing an 8-K with the SEC on June 15.
- →The buys came at Strategy's cheapest average price since early 2025, partly restoring confidence after a June 1 sale spooked markets.
- →Watch whether bitcoin can close above $66,000 this week, the level needed to start narrowing Strategy's estimated $8B paper loss.
- 8-K → A mandatory report that public U.S. companies file with the SEC when something major happens, like a large purchase or a policy change.
- at-the-market program → A method public companies use to sell new shares gradually into the open market to raise cash, without a fixed price or formal offering.
Strategy bought 1,587 BTC last week for ~$100 million. The 8-K filed with the SEC on June 15 shows an average price of $63,024 per coin. That's the cheapest Strategy has paid since early 2025.
Saylor posted his accumulation chart Sunday with the caption "Still adding dots." The market now reads that post as a Monday preview. MSTR was up 6% before the open.
The June 1 sale of 32 BTC mattered more than its size. JPMorgan analysts flagged it, noting the company's reserve at that point covered only ~6.3 months of payments to preferred shareholders. This week's buys brought that reserve back to $1.1B. That is cash, not leverage.
Strategy's total stack is now 846,842 BTC at an aggregate cost of ~$64.1 billion, per the filing. Bitcoin Magazine puts the mark roughly $8 billion below cost at Monday's prices near $66,000. The $63,024 average is well below Strategy's all-in cost of ~$75,656 per coin. The position still needs bitcoin well above current levels to break even.
Strive (Nasdaq: ASST) quietly filed a separate 8-K covering 73 BTC for ~$4.7 million over the same period, per Bitcoin Magazine. That pushed its treasury to 19,105 BTC. Both companies funded purchases through at-the-market equity programs. Strategy's program has roughly $25.75 billion in remaining capacity.
BTC sat between $65,600 and $66,300 Monday morning, lifted by the weekend announcement of a U.S.-Iran peace deal set for formal signing June 19.
If you're watching the tape, the number to track is $66,000. A sustained weekly close above that level is what the chart needs to signal a trend change.
Strategy is letting JPMorgan define the STRC story. Leaving that preferred stock unused for bitcoin buys makes the reserve concern look louder than the $1.1B cash balance.
Watch for a sustained bitcoin weekly close above $66,000 by June 30, the level Bitcoin Magazine Pro flagged as the minimum signal for a trend change.
