The buy ends a two-month pause, but the cleaner signal is where the money came from.

Strategy bought 4,603 Bitcoin last week. Per its August 31 filing, the company paid $369.7 million between August 24 and August 30. The average price was $80,318 per BTC.
The important part is the funding. Strategy said the purchase used proceeds from MSTR common stock sales under its ATM program. If you own MSTR, the Bitcoin trade is still being fed by new share issuance.
The buy ends a reported pause since June. It also lifts Strategy's holdings to 845,050 BTC as of August 30. The filing says those coins cost $63.73 billion in total. The average price was $75,412 per BTC.
This was not only a Bitcoin update. The same filing showed $602.8 million in MSTR ATM net proceeds. It also showed $151.8 million of STRC repurchases, $5.10 billion in USD Reserve, and $1.61 billion in USD Cash. That is money moving across several buckets, not a mascot trade.
The near-term signal is whether Strategy repeats the move. One buy after two months says the window reopened. Two filings in a row would say the share-sale engine is back in regular use.
Strategy's restart is aggressive. It used MSTR share-sale proceeds while the same filing showed STRC repurchases and cash reserves competing with the Bitcoin trade.
Watch Strategy's next 8-K before September 30, 2026: another MSTR-funded Bitcoin buy above $300 million would confirm the June pause was temporary.
