Uniswap just became Robinhood Chain’s memecoin market. The app play is bigger.
The launchpad wave is not just giving Uniswap volume. It is teaching retail traders to start discovery inside Uniswap itself.

Bankless says Uniswap handled roughly $12.8B on Robinhood Chain over the past month. That number is not from an official Uniswap dashboard, so treat it as reported, not gospel. Still, the shape of the story is clear. Robinhood Chain’s first memecoin cycle is running through Uniswap.
The thing is, this is not just volume. It is distribution. Uniswap went live on Robinhood Chain on July 2 with v2, v3, v4, UniswapX, its Web App, Wallet, and API ready from day one. Then it added a Launches tab to pull in tokens from Bankr, Pons, and Long.
That changes the job Uniswap is doing. It is not only the place where liquidity sits after attention arrives. It is becoming the place where retail finds the thing in the first place. If you are chasing new Robinhood Chain coins, your first tab might now be Uniswap, not X.
Bankless also reported more than 340,000 tokens launched into Uniswap pools on Robinhood Chain. It also reported $3.6B in launchpad trading volume. Roughly four-fifths of the chain’s DEX volume came from memecoins, Bankless said. That is a lot of chaos, but it is also a lot of user behavior.
The chart tells one story. The launch flow tells another. Memecoins are usually treated like noise around serious apps. Actually, they are often the onboarding machine. DOGE did it for Coinbase-era retail. BONK and WIF did it for Solana traders. Robinhood Chain is now testing whether Uniswap can own that same first-click moment.
There is a governance angle too. A July 10 Uniswap forum proposal said Robinhood Chain cumulative swap volume had crossed $1B. It also discussed expanding protocol fees there. The fee switch chatter is not the main story today. The only number that matters is how fast speculative flow became product strategy.
This can break ugly. More than 340,000 new tokens means most charts go nowhere. Some will be jokes with pools. Some will be traps with branding. But Uniswap does not need every token to matter. It needs traders to believe the next one might.
That is the wedge. Memecoins are turning Uniswap from a trading venue into a retail discovery surface. For now, Robinhood Chain gave it the perfect messy test case.
Uniswap Labs’ choice to put Bankr, Pons, and Long inside the Launches tab is the right aggressive move because discovery is where memecoin traders form habits.
By August 31, watch whether Bankless or Uniswap reports Robinhood Chain launchpad volume above $5B, which would show the tab is more than a novelty.
