- →Farside shows U.S. spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs added $1.109B during the Aug. 3-7 trading week.
- →BlackRock's IBIT and ETHA took $896.5M of that flow, or 80.8% of the combined weekly total.
- →Watch whether August keeps the streak alive, because concentration is now the only number that matters.
- ETF → An ETF is a fund that trades on a stock exchange and lets buyers get exposure without holding the asset directly.
- net inflow → A net inflow means more money entered a fund than left it over a set period.
Crypto ETFs added $1.109B over the Aug. 3-7 week.
Farside Investors data show U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs took in $865.3M during the week. Spot Ethereum ETFs added $243.7M over the same window. That is cash, not leverage.
BlackRock took most of it. IBIT added $693.5M for the Aug. 3-7 week, per Farside. ETHA added $203.0M. Together, BlackRock's two funds pulled in $896.5M.
That equals 80.8% of combined Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETF inflows for the week. If you're watching ETF demand as a clean read on crypto appetite, your bag now runs through one issuer more than ever.
The Bitcoin streak was cleaner. Farside shows Bitcoin ETFs posted inflows in every session from Aug. 3 through Aug. 7. Ethereum funds had an Aug. 3 outflow, then four positive sessions.
Secondary data was close enough to matter less than the direction. Reports using SoSoValue put Bitcoin ETF weekly inflows at $853.54M and Ethereum ETF inflows at $244.94M. Farside shows $865.3M and $243.7M.
The tape matches the story. Cumulative spot Bitcoin ETF net inflows stood at $52.243B as of Aug. 7, per Farside. Spot Ethereum ETF net inflows stood at $11.4646B.
The only number that matters is BlackRock's share. Strong flows are bullish. One manager taking four-fifths of the cash is the catch.
BlackRock's IBIT and ETHA are turning crypto ETF distribution into a one-manager market, because $896.5M of the week's $1.109B went through its tickers.
By Aug. 31, watch whether Farside shows IBIT and ETHA keeping more than 70% of combined weekly Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF inflows.
