CASHCAT just did $90M on Robinhood Chain. Wall Street's chain got claimed by memes.
Robinhood built its new chain for tokenized stocks and serious finance. Retail found the cat logo first.

- →CASHCAT jumped more than 10x in 24 hours and hit about $90M in volume, per Dexscreener snapshots on July 8.
- →Robinhood Chain was pitched for tokenized Wall Street, but its first big liquidity moment came from a memecoin.
- →Watch whether CASHCAT keeps volume after the first 72 hours, because first-cycle memes fade fast without new buyers.
- L2 → An L2 is a separate blockchain built on top of another chain to make transactions cheaper or faster.
- tokenized stocks → Tokenized stocks are blockchain tokens that track shares of public companies.
- 24h volume → 24h volume is the dollar value of trading over the past day.
CASHCAT did about $90M in daily volume. Dexscreener showed the Robinhood Chain memecoin up more than 10x as of July 8. It also showed a market cap near $103M. For a token born from Robinhood's own pre-launch CashCat branding, that's a lot of unpaid marketing.
The thing is, Robinhood Chain wasn't sold as a meme casino. It's an Arbitrum-based chain built around tokenized stocks, agentic trading, and cleaner rails for real-world assets. Vlad Tenev told CNBC days earlier that crypto's future was real-world assets, not endless memecoin creation. Then CASHCAT ran, and he said Tuesday the chain "works great for memes too." That's the whole story.
The chart tells one story. The venue tells another. Dune showed Robinhood Chain Uniswap V3 WETH-pair daily volume at $212.3M on July 8, from the low tens of millions before the CASHCAT run.
That number comes from a dashboard by Adam, not an audited company report, so treat it as directional. Still, the shape is obvious. Retail found the first easy trade before Wall Street found the chain.
If you're trading this, don't pretend it's about Robinhood's stock-token plan. Robinhood Stock Tokens are live in 120-plus countries, but not in the U.S. That leaves a weird gap. The serious stack exists, including Robinhood Earn at roughly 7% APY on USDG through Morpho. But the first thing people actually crowded around was a cat coin.
Actually, that's normal. BONK helped Solana feel alive again before the clean institutional story came back. WIF turned a joke into a venue test in late 2024.
New chains often get their first culture check from the dumbest asset available. Not dumb as in useless. Dumb as in brutally honest.
Robinhood wanted tokenized Wall Street. CASHCAT gave it memecoin gravity. The first cycle on a new venue is rarely polite, and this one is officially not pretending to be.
Robinhood's choice to laugh along with CASHCAT was smart because the chain needs live users more than it needs another speech about tokenized stocks.
By July 15, watch whether CASHCAT keeps at least $30M in daily volume on Dexscreener or falls back into one-day launch noise.
