U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs took in $33.79M last week. CoinDesk cited SoSoValue data for the week ended July 24.
The streak is real, for now. It was the third straight weekly inflow, and the first such run since early May. But the tape matched the story less cleanly by Friday.
The funds lost about $225.2M on July 23 and $240.1M on July 24. Together, that made $465.26M of two-day outflows. BlackRock’s IBIT accounted for nearly $415M of that late-week exit, CoinDesk reported.
That is the only number that matters. The largest fund did not just join the move. It led it.
The prior two weekly inflow totals were $197M and $75.67M, per CoinDesk. Last week still landed positive, but barely. If you own bitcoin through an ETF, the headline streak looks better than the closing flow.
BRN told CoinDesk that July brought relief after May and June’s heavy outflows. It also said institutional demand is still cautious. That fits the data. Demand came back, then got tested.
The number to watch is IBIT’s next full week. If the biggest buyer becomes the biggest seller again, this is not a clean ETF rebound. It is a repair phase with one crowded door.
IBIT’s late-week redemptions make BlackRock the story, because one fund drove almost the whole reversal.
By Aug. 7, watch whether IBIT posts another week with more than $250M in net outflows.
