- →U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $853.5 million of net inflows over five sessions last week, Decrypt reported, citing SoSoValue data.
- →BlackRock's IBIT reportedly took about $690 million of that total, turning a broad inflow streak into a one-issuer story.
- →Watch whether Tuesday's CPI week keeps rate-hike bets lower, because slower Friday inflows already showed the bid cooling.
- ETF → An ETF is a fund that trades on a stock exchange and lets buyers get exposure without holding the asset directly.
- Net inflow → A net inflow means more money entered a fund than left it over the measured period.
Bitcoin funds pulled in $853.5 million over five sessions last week. Decrypt reported the figure, citing SoSoValue data as of Monday. The prior week showed $61.5 million in net outflows.
The tape matches the story. Rate-hike bets faded into the new week, with CME FedWatch showing September hike odds at 46% on Monday, down from 55% on Friday. That is cash, not leverage.
BlackRock is the catch. Decrypt said roughly $690 million of last week's inflow went into IBIT, citing Stephen Wundke of Algoz Technologies. That is about 80% of the weekly haul. If you own Bitcoin through an ETF, your bag is increasingly tied to one issuer's pull.
Friday showed the split more clearly. Decrypt reported IBIT took in $86.7 million, while Fidelity's FBTC added $41 million. Invesco's BTCO lost $19.4 million, and VanEck's HODL lost $10.6 million.
SoSoValue data cited by Decrypt put cumulative U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF net inflows at $52.18 billion as of Monday. The same data showed $79.5 billion in assets, about 6.1% of Bitcoin's market value.
The number to watch is not just total inflow. It is how much of the next dollar BlackRock keeps taking. The rebound is bullish for Bitcoin, but it is sharper for IBIT.
BlackRock's IBIT is turning a broad Bitcoin ETF rebound into a one-issuer story because it reportedly took about 80% of last week's inflows.
By Friday, August 14, watch whether IBIT takes more than half of weekly net inflows again while total spot Bitcoin ETF flows stay positive.
