Avalanche Treasury Corp just told the SEC it might not survive the year. AVAT's stock fell 93% in one month since its Nasdaq SPAC debut, Protos reports. From above $10 to below $0.73 as of June 29.
The SEC warning is the headline. The actual risk is the collateral.
AVAT holds 13.8 million AVAX. It pledged 7.8 million of them to a lender. That's more than half the treasury already on the hook.
The company bought its AVAX at roughly $265 million, per Protos. The SEC filings show the stack was worth about $123 million by end of March. The Q1 operating loss topped $26 million. Nearly all of it was a fair-value writedown on AVAX, not a cash burn. Yet.
AVAX is down 47% this year. If it keeps falling, the lender can call the loan. A margin call on 7.8 million tokens means selling into a market that already doesn't want them.
AgriFORCE Growing Systems rebranded as AVAX One, a parallel AVAX play. It announced a $550 million raise with Anthony Scaramucci chairing its advisory board. Market cap now sits at about $43 million, down 68% this year.
If you're holding either of these stocks, the going concern note is the last public warning before the collateral math takes over. The numbers don't add up at current AVAX prices.
The going concern note is public. The margin call threshold is not. Until AVAT's lender discloses that number, shareholders are buying into a forced sale they cannot see coming.
If AVAX drops further before end of Q3 2026, the margin call on AVAT's 7.8 million pledged tokens turns a paper loss into a forced liquidation.
