Ethereum is back among the world's 100 biggest assets. The rally has no named catalyst.
ETH's market value is back near the screen where big allocators start paying attention. The tape matches the story, for now.

- →Ethereum ranked between 93rd and 95th globally on July 4, with market cap near $215B to $216B.
- →The move looks like broad market lift, not an Ethereum-specific upgrade, which makes the catalyst weaker than the rank.
- →Watch whether ETH holds the top-100 slot through July, because allocator screens matter only if the number sticks.
- Market capitalization → Market capitalization is the total value of all coins in circulation at the current price.
- Circulating supply → Circulating supply is the number of coins that are available and counted in the market.
Ethereum is back near a $213B market cap. CoinGecko showed ETH at $1,763 this morning, with $212.9B in market value. Crypto Briefing put the figure at $215B to $216B on July 4.
That places ETH back inside the global top 100 assets, per Crypto Briefing. The reported rank was between 93rd and 95th. The same report said ETH was worth $192B to $197B in late June.
The move is roughly a 10% climb in a few weeks. No named Ethereum upgrade drove it. Crypto Briefing attributes the move to a broader crypto rebound that also carried Bitcoin higher.
If you're holding ETH, this is a cleaner story than a mystery pump. The number moved with the market, not because one protocol headline did the work. That matters because broad moves can fade when the tape turns.
The rank still matters. Some institutional screens sort assets by size before any human reads the memo. ETH being back above that line puts it back on those lists, officially.
This is not new ground. ETH first entered the top 100 in January 2021 at about $132B, according to Crypto Briefing. The number to watch is whether this return holds after the first July bounce cools.
Ethereum bulls calling this a protocol story are misreading the tape: Crypto Briefing's own numbers point to broad market lift, not a named Ethereum catalyst.
By July 31, watch whether ETH still holds a top-100 global asset slot and stays above $212B on CoinGecko.
