- →U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs had $205M of July net inflows as of July 30, per CoinDesk citing SoSoValue data.
- →The July total follows $2.43B of May outflows and $4.52B of June outflows, so the slowdown is not one bad week.
- →Watch the final July print: ether ETFs are already ahead at $342.85M in monthly inflows.
- spot bitcoin ETF → A fund that trades on a stock exchange and holds bitcoin directly for investors.
- net inflows → The amount of new money entering a fund after subtracting money leaving it.
U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs had $205M of July inflows as of July 30.
CoinDesk cited SoSoValue data with two trading days left in the month. That puts the funds on track for their smallest monthly net inflows on record.
The weak print follows two ugly months. Bitcoin ETFs lost $2.43B in May and $4.52B in June, per the same CoinDesk report.
The tape matches the story. This is no longer the easy ETF trade, where new money showed up and everyone treated it as automatic demand.
Ether is ahead now. Ether ETFs pulled in $342.85M in July as of July 30, according to CoinDesk citing SoSoValue. XRP ETFs added $13.61M. Solana ETFs added $13.82M.
If you're holding bitcoin for the ETF bid, this is the only number that matters today. The bid is still there, but it is smaller than the story around it.
CryptoSlate separately reported roughly $999M of bitcoin ETF inflows from July 14 to July 22. It also reported about $526M of outflows through July 28, citing Farside Investors. That makes July look less like a straight exit and more like unstable allocation.
The final two trading days decide the record. The bigger point is already visible: bitcoin ETF demand has stopped carrying the whole market by itself.
The bitcoin ETF bid is weaker than bulls admit because July is trailing ether after two straight outflow months.
By the final July print on July 31, watch whether SoSoValue shows bitcoin ETF inflows below ether ETF inflows of $342.85M.
