Ondo added 173 tokenized stocks and ETFs on June 18. The Defiant says Ondo Global Markets now lists more than 430 assets across Ethereum, Solana, and BNB Chain.
That number is the tell. Ondo built its name on OUSG, a tokenized US Treasury product. This expansion is different: AI infrastructure ETFs, robotics funds, quantum computing, defense tech, critical materials, and data center energy. These are equity bets, not yield substitutes.
For three years, real-world assets mostly meant tokenized Treasuries. You got exposure to short-term government debt, your stablecoins earned some yield, and the pitch was simple: stocks come later. Later just arrived.
No US-regulated brokerage is close to this depth. The better comparison isn't Robinhood or Fidelity. It's Charles Schwab building a huge product shelf over years. Ondo is trying to assemble that kind of access in roughly 18 months.
And that's the catch. Ondo is doing it without a FINRA broker-dealer license and without 40 years of custody infrastructure behind it. That makes the product impressive, but also easier for a regulated player to copy if one moves fast.
Multi-chain availability matters here too. Previous real-world asset launches often started on Ethereum, with other chains coming later. Ondo launched across Ethereum, Solana, and BNB Chain at once. The users are already spread across those networks, and Ondo isn't asking them to move first.
If you're sitting on stablecoin yield and wondering where on-chain stock access is, this is it. Your options just got wider.
The economics are straightforward. A deeper catalog can mean more transaction volume and more protocol integrations. It also gives Ondo a cleaner story for regulators: tokenized equities are becoming a product category, not a side quest.
One honest caveat. These numbers come from The Defiant, and the primary article wasn't fully accessible for verification. Treat the 430 figure as directionally right, not the only number that matters.
Ondo either lands a US broker-dealer distribution partner before 2027, or it leaves the institutional onramp for the first regulated copycat.
