Robinhood Chain now has $70M in real-world assets. The stock pitch still rides on stablecoins and meme trades.
Robinhood's chain is starting to look like a real tokenized-stock venue, but the base layer is still mostly dollars and speculation.

- →Robinhood Chain had $69.7 million in active real-world assets on July 25, according to DefiLlama data.
- →Tokenized stocks are growing, but stablecoins and memecoin trades still drive most of the chain's activity.

- real-world assets → These are tokens that represent things outside crypto, like stocks, funds, bonds, or private shares.
- stablecoin → A stablecoin is a crypto token designed to track a currency like the US dollar.
- DEX volume → DEX volume is the value of trades made on decentralized exchanges without a traditional broker.
$69.7 million sat in Robinhood Chain real-world assets on July 25. DefiLlama showed that number on its RWA dashboard. The chain also had $324.86 million in total value locked and $481.63 million in stablecoins that day.
The thesis is simple. Robinhood Chain is getting real RWA traction. But the product story still rides on a larger stablecoin and memecoin base. That doesn't make the launch fake. It makes the numbers less clean than the pitch.
CoinDesk reported that tokenized equities are now trading in bigger size. GameStop tokenized shares did $26.6 million in daily volume. Nvidia did $14 million, and SpaceX did $6.4 million. The report put tokenized-stock daily volume at roughly $55 million.
That is not small. If you're used to tokenized equities being demo software with a ticker, this looks different. Robinhood's docs say the chain is built for tokenized real-world assets, including equities, ETFs, and private assets. The backing layer got real, for now.
But DefiLlama showed $515.02 million in 24-hour DEX volume on July 25. CoinDesk described daily DEX volume above $600 million, so the figure moved during the day. Either way, tokenized stocks were still under a tenth of total trading. That's the only number that matters.
This has a familiar shape. Early eurodollar markets did not start as a clean policy idea. They grew because dollars were already moving outside old banking rails. Robinhood Chain looks similar in miniature: the serious asset story sits where users already trade.
That is both the opportunity and the catch. Stablecoins make the market liquid. Memecoins make the chain busy. Tokenized stocks give Robinhood the narrative that regulators, issuers, and brokers can understand.
The risk is that the narrative outruns the activity. A chain built for tokenized equities needs equities to become the habit, not the press release. Until then, Robinhood has traction, but not proof that real assets are the main event.
Robinhood's choice to seed tokenized stocks on a chain still led by stablecoins and memecoins is smart distribution, but it only works if Robinhood turns equity trading into repeat daily flow this quarter.
Before the end of October 2026, watch whether CoinDesk or DefiLlama data shows tokenized-stock volume holding above 10% of Robinhood Chain DEX volume for a full week.
