The Ethereum Foundation disclosed a second 10,000 ETH OTC sale today to BitMNR/Bitmine, per the foundation's X account. The average price was $2,292.15 per ETH, according to the same post.
That follows a confirmed 10,000 ETH OTC sale on April 24 at approximately $2,387, also to BitMNR/Bitmine. AMBCrypto, citing Arkham Intelligence data, reports a matching transfer to BitMNR-linked wallets, bringing the week's reported total to 20,000 ETH.
The price stepped down between the two trades. April 24 cleared at roughly $2,387. Today's sale came in at $2,292.15, about $95 lower. Two blocks of identical size, one week apart, to the same buyer is a structure.
The Foundation has not stated a treasury sell ceiling or a timeline for further disposals.
The Foundation's choice to execute back-to-back OTC blocks without disclosing a sell ceiling is generating more uncertainty than the sales themselves warrant.
A third OTC sale disclosure from the Ethereum Foundation, or a public treasury statement naming a sell ceiling, within the next 30 days.
Forward this.
